Title Of Film

Initial ideas for the title of my film/trailer.

After coming up with a few a handful of ideas I thought I would narrow it down to my favourite five and then write a questionnaire asking the public which one they like the most. My reasoning for doing this is so that I know that the public will like the title maybe meaning it will be most memorable. I decided to do my questionnaire thorough the website SurveyMonkey.  By using SurveyMonkey I will be able to get my questionnaire to a larger range of people as I can post it on social media websites, for example - my twitter account. But I can also email it or text it to my friend to get them to answer it and I have done all of the above.

Personal Favourites and why:

Thanks to you
It's short but sweet and implies that maybe one of the protagonists has done something amazing for the other character. I deliberately used the word 'Thanks' not 'Thank You' as 'Thanks' is informal and more personal giving it more of a casual, personal feel to the film.

The Next Chapter
This title follows the storyline in how it follows the characters through their lives in to the 'next chapter.' Is also short so may be more memorable compared to some other film titles.

Rules and Regulations of Friendship
This title is slightly more comical, it implies that there are rules and regulations of friendships which is a way there are. There actually are unwritten rules of friendships, like how some say there's 'bro-code' between guys and 'girl-code' when you become friends with a girl but as far as I know there aren't any unwritten laws about boy to girl friendships and this film could be an answer to it, showing what is appropriate in this type of relationship and where the line is.

Building Blocks
Any form of relationship, friendship or romantic there are always different stages and things that move you up to the next or different level. Some could argue that these are the building blocks of the relationship. I think this would be an appropriate title for my film as it works alongside the storyline of Ben and Sophie's relationship with time.

If Only
This title fits in with Ben's side of the story his longing for Sophie but her being slightly out of reach. It could also imply to the viewer that the storyline may not be a typical fairy-tale ending, giving the film an element of surprise which may in fact make the film more appealing to any potential consumers.

CHOSEN TITLE:  Rules and Regulations of Friendship

Using my survey results I have chosen the title of my film! - Rules and Regulations of Friendship was the most popular, not by far but was the winner.

Analysis of results
Above are the results from my questionnaire. I had the questionnaire up for a week before deciding to count in the data. Unfortunately I didn't get as many responses as I was hoping for, only 14 in total. Even though it is a small sample size I can still take it into account when choosing which title I go for. The results are fairly equal. three titles having the same average as one another! The title that was most liked was Rules and Regulations of Friendship, this didn't take me by surprise as it is the most playful title so I expected it to be the favourite. On the other hand, Building Blocks got the worse score and I am actually shocked by this I thought it would score higher than a 2 on average, but the public know what they want!
